Brux

Domesticated Wild Ale

The brainchild of two world-class breweries, Brux is the perfect toast to friendship and shared passion. A collaboration between Sierra Nevada and Russian River Brewing Company — brewed one time in 2012 — this copper-colored ale is dry and complex, with slightly tart notes of green grass, pear, spice and lemon.

Each year we re-release Brux, which lives in our temperature-controlled cellars, to showcase the evolving complexity and character of its flavors.

Brux Inspo

Our Brux is more than just good beer. It’s a tangible reminder of the friendship between the Grossman and Cilurzo families.

Born of wild yeast called Brettanomyces bruxellensis, this funky Brux flipped the script on traditional brewing; we microdosed each bottle with that "Brett" yeast just before corking — sparking a new fermentation inside. The result? Liquid manifestation of change over time.
