Bob Sinclair and The Big Deals

When an acoustic string band wants to make a mark in the crowded Americana music scene, they need to be unique, talented and have a strong sense of who they are. Bob Sinclair and The Big Deals have that singular musical voice in this crowded landscape. This talented group merges instrumental prowess, Southern storytelling, chamber music sensibilities, spot-on harmonies, and jazz-influenced spontaneity to create an elegant and engaging musical experience. The Big Deal’s showmanship and neo-traditionalism harken back to a much earlier period of Americana music. Sinclair has been awarded the NC Grassroots Artists Grant three times for his songwriting. The band crosses the lines of jazz, country, classical and folk music and as the Charlotte Observer said, “In all the important ways, The Big Deals are a major character in the Americana music circuit”.
